Abstract

1375773 Wells &c C H COLLETT 9 March 1972 11129/72 Heading E1F A split collar for a well pipe comprises a body 13 of elastomeric material with an insert 16 of spring material having an inwardly directed tongue 18 and slot 17 for connection of the collar about the pipe. A modified collar has a groove extending part the way around its inner circumference, the groove housing a resilient strap or a corrugated strap adapted to grip the pipe. The collar may be a drill pipe protector, a pipe centralizer or a stop collar. (For Figures see next page)
