Abstract
1375321 Compression moulding T REIFENHAUSER 9 May 1972 [14 May 1971] 21478/72 Heading B5A A predetermined volume of a material falls from a dosing chamber 1, fed from a hopper 8, to a space 2, and is compressed in a chamber 3 by a ram 4. A rotary cutter 7 moves laterally between the hopper and chamber to separate the said volume which rests on the ram, and remains in this position whilst the volume falls into the space and until the ram closes the outlet from the chamber. During the compaction the cutter is removed to allow a further supply of material to pass into the chamber and rest on the ram.
