Abstract
1375213 Linkwork CREUSOT-LOIRE 19 Nov 1971 [6 Jan 1971] 53854/71 Heading F2K Two shafts 1, 2 are flexibly joined by a plurality of linkwork assemblies 3 each comprising a lever 30 pivoted at its centre to one shaft 2, and pivoted at each end to one end of a link 31, 32 pivoted at its other end to the other shaft 1, and arranged so that the links 31, 32 are of equal length, extend in opposite directions from the lever, and when the shafts are in a mean position, the links are parallel and in planes -normal to the other shaft 1. The pivots connecting the levers and links to the shafts may comprise projections 11, 12 from the same or alternate between opposite sides of a plate 10 or comprise radial projections, from two rings spaced to form an annular gap in which the linkwork is located. The second shaft may be similarly flexibly joined to a third shaft connected to a pinion driving a gear on a rotary kiln, a grinder or a rolling mill.
