Abstract

1374034 Rope securing apparatus SUGIUE KENKI KK and SUGITA SANGYO KK 15 March 1972 12194/72 Headings B7S and B7V A rope securing apparatus comprises an elongate carrier 1 and a pivotal shackle 7 which mounts one longitudinal end of the carrier on horizontal supporting surface G for movement about horizontal axis 3 extending transverse to the direction of elongation of the carrier. Hook 8 is secured to the other end of the carrier and pivots about horizontal axis 9 between a first position in which the bight of the hook is open towards axis 3 and a second position in which the bight is open in the opposite direction. The weight of the hook biases the carrier towards surface G and releasable locking mechanism 10 locks the hook in the first position. Cam-operating mechanism 18 is responsive to movement of the hook from its first position to the second position and moves the hook up and away from surface G against the biasing weight of the hook.
