1373299 Boots &c LAMBERT HOWARTH & SONS Ltd 3 Aug 1973 [5 Aug 1972] 36664/ 72 Heading A3B A method of forming a shoe or slipper includes the steps of forming a ramp A with a tongue a extending rearwardly from the forepart, applying a binding B around the edges of the tongue a and the top-line opening in the ramp, folding the tongue a over through 180‹ (as shown in Fig. 3) and securing the tongue binding to the ramp. The ramp A may consist of an outer layer, a lining C and an intermediate layer D of foamed plastics material, and the lining C may be of a contrasting colour or design to provide a panel of contrasting colour on the ramp.
