Abstract

1372939 Fork-lift trucks ALLIS-CHALMERS CORP 17 Jan 1973 [20 Jan 1972] 2469/73 Heading B8H [Also in Division F1] Cavitation is prevented in the mast tilt cylinders 23, Fig. 2, of a fork-lift truck by connecting the exhaust conduit 51 of an auxiliary valve 47 with the supply conduit 43 of the tilt control valve 34 through a line 56 provided with a check-valve 57. As described the auxiliary valve controls a power steering cylinder 46. If back pressure in the exhaust line 58, caused by a filter 52, is insufficient, a restrictor may be provided in the line 58 to increase this pressure. A flow divider 32 provides priority flow to the valve 47.
