Abstract

1372510 Smokeable sheet material ROTHMANS INTERNATIONAL Ltd 8 Oct 1971 [11 July 1970 20 May 1971] 33784/70 and 16129/71 Heading D2B [Also in Divisions A2 and C3] Smokeable sheet material comprising calcium alginate fibres together with additional material comprising a flavorant and combustion modifier is made by a conventional papermaking process, the additional material being added before and/or after sheet formation. Cellulosic fibres may be included in the sheet material. The additional material may comprise a colouring agent, and nicotine. The flavorant may be powdered deer tongue, or liquorice, the combustion modifier may be sodium or potassium nitrate. Citric acid may also be added to modify flavour. Tobacco may also be added at any stage of the process. The sheet may be creped.
