Abstract

1372468 Injection moulding machines K OAKI 25 Feb 1972 [27 Feb 1971] 8791/72 Heading B5A The hydraulic circuitry of an injection cylinder 3 is housed within a slidable metal block 4 supporting the -cylinder 3 on the bed 1 of the moulding machine. The circuitry includes a valve 16 for controlling the piston 6 driving the cylinder 3 relative to a mould closing device 2, a valve 15 for controlling an oil motor 13 rotating the injection screw and a valve 14 for controlling the injection stroke of the screw. Valves for adjusting the injection pressure, screw backpressure, and point of change of linear direction of the screw may be provided. Limit switches (21-23), Figs. 4, 5) governing the sliding movement of the block 4 may be provided. Diagrams (Figs. 7, 8) of the hydraulic circuits are given. The block 4 may be formed from a single bored block or from a number of grooved sections and may be mounted in or on the bed 1.
