Abstract

1372435 Fluid mixing systems VIKING ENG CO Ltd 2 April 1973 [17 June 1972] 28482/72 Heading B1C A fluid mixing system comprises a mixing head 1, a plurality of feed lines 5 each for feeding a respective fluid from a source 4 to the mixing head, each feed line incorporating a feed pump 7 and having a return line connected therein after the feed pump, and a valve system for each feed/return line combination operable to cause the fluid to be fed by the pump selectively to either the mixing head or via the return line back to the associated source wherein each valve system comprises two valves 9a, 9b, one 9a connected in the associated feed line between the mixing head and the connection 8 with the return line and the other 9b connected in the return line and each valve has a valve member 10 movable between first and second positions corresponding to open and closed states of the valve respectively, characterised in that restraining means 12 is provided for positive cooperation with the valve member when in the said first position so as to prevent further opening movement thereof. The valve member is biassed by spring 14 to a closed position and is opened by fluid pressure along pipe 15.
