Abstract

1372267 Pressure-sensitive recording sheet FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 22 Dec 1971 [25 Dec 1970] 59757/71 Heading D2B [Also in Division C4] A pressure-sensitive recording sheet comprises paper coated on one face with a colourformer composition comprising a colourformer and a condensation product of an arylsubstituted alkene and a phenol, of formula: wherein each R may be H or C 1 -C 9 alkyl, n is 0, 1 or 2, and p and m are each 1 or 2. The composition may be applied in the form of microcapsules containing a solution of the colour-former condensate in an organic solvent. Alternatively microcapsules of the condensate and solvent may be used in conjunction with others containing the colour former and solvent. The same or opposite face of the same sheet may be coated with a colourdeveloper, or the developer may be coated on a further sheet. Known colour-formers, developers and solvents are specified.
