Abstract
1371797 Heat exchange apparatus VICKERS Ltd 28 Sept 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 45243/71 Headings F4U and F4H The temperature of a substance, e.g. human organs and tissue for surgery, is controlled by a heat exchange liquid passing from an inlet 5 to an outlet 6 via an extended flow path formed between spaced coaxial inner and outer containers 1, 2, secured in a holder 12 the inner container being of thermally conductive material e.g. aluminium alloy or stainless steel, and the space therebetween being bridged by ribbing 7, 8, 9 on one of the containers to make contact in resilient sealing manner with the other container to form said path. The outer container may be made of silicone rubber having integral ribs of helical formation and the holder 12 may be glass reinforced resin.
