Abstract

Wire-link chains are formed of lengths of wire bent at the middle to form a bow 3, the ends of the wire then being crossed at 4 and bent over at 6 to form two registering eyes, and the eves are anchored to the bow, so that the bow can neither spread nor collapse, by bending the ends 9 of the wire around the strands of the bow adjacent tc the point 4, as shown.
