Abstract
1371156 Alumina cements KAZAKHSKY POLITEKHNICHESKY INSTITUT IMENI VI LENINA 30 Oct 1972 49989/72 Heading C1H An aluminocalcium material, which is sintered with coke to produce an alumina cement, is obtained by firing an aluminocalcium material with CaCl2, treating the product with H2SO4 to take Al into solution, and then precipitating the aluminocalcium material by adding at least one inorganic Ca substance. The process reduces the SiO2 and Fe2O3 contents of the aluminocalcium material. Limestone is added to the solution to precipitate the iron compounds. Firing to obtain the cement is at 1450‹ C., and its composition is given. The filter cake (from the non H2SO4 soluble part of the alumino calcium material) can be used to produce Portland cement.
