Abstract

1370944 Laminated corrugated board IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 20 March 1972 [31 March 1971] 8296/71 Heading B5N Packaging board comprises an unfoamed core attached to a liner on at least one face, preferably both faces, the core comprising one or more corrugated thermoplastic sheets filled with talc, chalk, silica, asbestos, diatomaceous earth or glass fibre. In embodiments the core comprises (i) a single corrugated sheet or (ii) two corrugated sheets juxtaposed out of phase. The core may comprise polyethylene, polypropylene or ethylene-propylene copolymer. The liner may comprise plastics sheet, paper, cardboard or fibreboard, the latter three of which may be coated with plastics, e.g. polyethylene. The core and liners may be assembled under heat and pressure.
