1370938 Moulding gears DAVALL GEAR CO Ltd 10 Nov 1971 [1 Oct 1970 26 July 1971] 51351/71 and 34963/71 Divided out of 1370427 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] A worm wheel is made by joining two moulded parts 1, 2 each of which includes one of the larger diameter portions 4. The parts 1, 2 may be similar or one may be annular and fit on to a spigot on the other. They may be die cast, sintered, or moulded from thermoplastics or thermosetting plastics and joined by welding, cementing or rivetting. Alternatively one part may have projections which are fitted into holes in the other part, the ends of the projections being spread by a welding tool or snap fitting into place. -
