[Also in Division B7] A steering wheel' or other rigid interior automotive part comprises a metal insert with soft P.V.C. material moulded round it. A mechanical interlock or adhesive between insert and plastics prevents slippage. In a steering wheel, the insert is U-sectioned and crimped into connection with the spoke supports.
