137,066. Schrader's Son, Inc., A., (Assignees of Myers, E. van A.). Dec. 20, 1918, [Convention date]. Protecting covers.-An easily detachable dust-cap for tyre valves is secured in position by clampin-means of non-compressible material operated by the relative rotation of the two parts of the cap. The upper part of cap B is formed with spring fingers D provided with screw threads adapted to be moved into engagement with the threads on the valve stem when the cap is in position by a wedge E. The wedge E is formed on a lever member C shaped to engage the flats on the valve stem and having a. threaded engagement with the upper part B so that a relative movement of the two parts engages the threads on the fingers and the valve stem.
