1369588 Discharging hoppers E H BENTALL & CO Ltd 9 Sept 1971 [9 Sept 1970] 43220/70 Heading B8S [Also in Division B1] As the bases 4, Fig. 1, of a plurality of hoppers 2 rotate material is discharged into a shoot 38 through lateral orifices 16 by ploughs 24. The sizes of the orifices are adjusted by rotatable sleeves 18. Agitators 30, 32, Fig. 2, are mounted on an axial support 28 and a plate 26 is provided to prevent direct discharge of material. In a second embodiment the plough is angularly adjustable and the size of the orifice is fixed.
