1369398 Steering motor vehicles; vehicle steering wheels GENERAL MOTORS CORP 12 July 1973 [19 Aug 1972] 33186/73 Headings B7H and B7J The axis 16 of a steering column is arranged at an angle α to the longitudinal vertical plane 15 of a vehicle, while the centre axis 14 of the steering wheel 13 is at an angle # in the opposite direction, thereby partially compensating for the angle α. The steering wheel may comprise a hub 19, Fig. 4, joined to a rim 18 by spokes, the centre axis 14 of the rim being inclined to the centre axis of the hub 19. The angle # is of the order of 3 to 4 degrees, the angle α being about 7 degrees.
