1369267 Electromagnetic contactors ALLEN WEST-EAC Ltd 11 Jan 1973 [19 Jan 1972] 2631/72 Heading H1N An electromagnetic contactor has a first subunit 10 comprising mounting means 16, terminals 54 for the contacts and terminals (Fig. 2, not shown) for the windings and a second subunit 12 comprising a main body structure 128, the electromagnet 217, the contacts 136, 138 and the armature 158 (Fig. 9, not shown). The sub-units 10, 12 have connecting means which comprise internally threaded pillars 52 on the terminals 54 of the unit 10 and screws 150 (Fig. 8) on contact carrying members 140 of the unit 12 with a deformable member 212 for yieldably clamping the core 200 in position relative to the main body structure 128 so that the shock of armature impact on the core is substantially absorbed.
