Abstract
1368849 Feeding sheets OPTICAL RECOGNITION SYSTEMS Inc 2 June 1972 [11 Jan 1972] 25767/72 Heading B8R A double sheet feed is detected by each sheet 31, 32, closing a vacuum part 23, 24, causing two pressure responsive switches 13, 14, to change state and provide an output signal which may serve to stop the machine. In order to avoid a false response to a wrinkled document, circuitry is provided which requires that both switches 13, 14, be opened simultaneously for a predetermined minimum period of time before an output indication is produced. The loops 21, 22, in the fluid circuits prevent paper dust reaching the switches.
