Abstract

1366850 Fluidic elements HITACHI Ltd 29 July 1971 57398/73 Divided out of 1361207 Heading G4P A fluidic element 14 issuing an output alternately from two output ports 2, 2<SP>1</SP> is provided with an amplifier in the form of a monostable element 15<SP>11</SP> which is provided with a forced reverse control nozzle 43<SP>1</SP>. The monostable element 15<SP>11</SP> is such that its output issues from port 42 except while there is a control flow through a port 43. To speed up the device and allow switching at a higher frequency the nozzle 43<SP>1</SP> is arranged in opposition to port 43 and produces a flow to assist restoration of the output flow to port 42 when the control flow through 43 ceases. Port 43 is coupled to one output port 2 of the element 14 while nozzle 43<SP>1</SP> is coupled to the other. The nozzle 431 may provide a fluid resistance or an additional fluid resistor 13 may be included and this may be adjustable to match the element 14 to the element 15<SP>11</SP>. In Fig. 8 the amplifier is shown connected to a bi-stable counter element of the main Specification 1,361,207. It may equally be applied to any other two state output device such as a feedback type bi-stable (Fig. 11, not shown); a one-shot multivibrator (Fig. 12, not shown); a fluid AND-gate (Fig. 14, not shown); a shift register (Fig. 16, not shown).
