1366084 Weighing electrically PEAK COMPONENTS Ltd 20 Sept 1972 [6 July 1971] 31538/71 Heading G1N A system for indicating the load on any one or all of the axles or other load bearing locations of a vehicle comprises a plurality of transducers one to each axle or location, each transducer consisting of a resistance strain gauge 10, an elongate base 1 carrying the gauge 10, the base and gauge being inserted and sealed into a casing 15 having holes 18 through which feet 4 extend from the base to be fixed firmly to the axle or location, the system including further a calculating circuit, connections thereto from the transducers and an indicating panel Fig.4 (not shown) to indicate the load on one transducer or the sum of the loads on all the transducers. A balancing gauge may be provided at 11 and a further strain gauge 9 may be provided to form part of a bridge circuit.
