Abstract
1365785 Heatable sheets SAINT GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 27 Sept 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 44610/72 Heading H5H [Also in Division B5] A heatable sheet to be used as a window &c. comprises two glass sheets laminated together with a plurality of heating elements 1, 3...13, 15, in between embedded in a thermoplastics layer, e.g. polyvinyl-butyral, each element comprising sets of parallel tungsten wires arranged in undulating pattern (Fig. 2, not shown) laid between terminal strips 2, 4 ... 14, 16, 17, each element being connected with its adjacent elements by the terminal strips. Figures 1 and 4 show pattern arrangements for sheets. The sheet may be trapezoidal, Fig. 4, and the terminal strip 44 may be arranged to lie on the opposite side of the thermoplastics layer to improve the electrical insulation.
