Abstract

1364878 Dispensing beverages VENDOPS Ltd 27 Oct 1972 [30 Oct 1971] 50567/71 Heading A4T [Also in Division B1] A hot-beverage making machine comprises beverage-concentrate cannisters 2 provided with augers 3 for supplying the concentrate to a mixing bowl 6, a hot-water tank 8 for supplying hot-water to a tangentially disposed inlet of the mixing bowl, and a fan 10 for drawing air from an air inlet 9, to flow over the hot-water tank, past the mixing bowl and through an exhaust vent 13. As shown predetermined amounts of concentrate are delivered into a delivery shoot 4 which projects through an aperture 5 in a partition board 1. The beverage leaves the mixing bowl through a central outlet and flows through a paddle-wheel whipping chamber 7. The air is warmed as it passes over the hot-water tank and minimizes the build-up of concentrate. A baffle 11 constrains the air to flow between the cannisters. Seals 12 and a bulk-head 14 limit the air to flow through the aperture 5. The cannisters may contain powdered leaf tea.
