Abstract

1364752 Control of AC motors V G YATSUK and V F PETRENKO 26 Jan 1972 3557/72 Heading H2J In an arrangement for reducing hunting in an induction motor 4 supplied from a controllable frequency inverter 10, a signal proportional to the derivative of the reactive load component of the current or power is used as positive feedback and in combination with a main control signal to control the frequency of the inverter in a sluice such as to reduce the hunting. As shown, a signal from a reactive current sensor 1 or a reactive power sensor 2 is applied to a differentiating unit 3 to produce the derivative which is added in the unit 12 to the control signal. The resulting signal controls a frequency controller 5 of the inverter 10. The sensor 1 is connected to a bank 11 of feed-back diodes of the inverter 10 which may be supplied from a rectifier 6 connected to an A.C. source. The rectifier 6 may have thyristors or diodes in a bridge circuit and be controlled by a phase control unit 7.
