Abstract
1364077 Pneumatic spinning INSTYTUT WLOKIENNICTWA 11 Sept 1971 42473/71 Heading DID In a pneumatic process of break spinning a stationary cylindrical chamber 1 is provided with tangential air inlets 6 and suction outlet 5 producing a spiral vortex above which an axially stationary vortex is produced. Fibre 8 is fed into the stationary vortex to produce a whirling ring of fibres 9 from which yarn is withdrawn through an axial passage 4 in a plug 2, twist being inserted by the motion of the ring 9. The fibre inlet tube 7 may be orientated in any desired way, see also Figs. 7 and 8, (not shown) from above or below. The top plug 2 may have a spiral air passage 3.
