Abstract

1363932 Hand tools; drills FUTTERS (LONDON) Ltd 14 Sept 1972 [26 Oct 1971] 49752/71 Headings B3N and B3C A hand tool comprises a cranked shank 10 consisting of first and second portions 14, 18 respectively, integrally formed with an intermediate crank portion 16, portion 18 being provided with a tool head 20 or a holder therefor. Portion 14 is rotatably mounted in a plastics or rubber handle 12. Portions 14, 18 converge to a point adjacent or post handle 12. Tool head 20 may be for drilling and take any of the shapes shown in Figs. 3, 5 and 7. Alternatively the tool head may be a screwdriver or a spanner. If a tool holder is affixed to portion 18 this may comprise a chuck provided with a collet or include a spring clip for releasably engaging the shank of a replaceable tool head.
