1363167 Reinforcing concrete FORGES DECLABECQ SA 17 Nov 1972 [14 March 1972 4 Aug 1972] 53255/72 Heading E1W Concrete reinforcing bars t, / are arranged in a grid comprising a lower layer of transverse bars t having fixed thereto spacers s and holding pieces h, and an upper layer of longitudinal bars l supported by the holding pieces h. In the arrangement shown, the holding pieces h of alternate rows of bars t are aligned, the upper bars l being supported only by every second lower bar t. The holding pieces h may be of generally U- or W-shape (Figs. 4, 4a, 4b, not shown) and may be of sheet metal, strip metal, rods or wires, and may either be resilient or be capable of being bent over the upper bars l. The supports may be generally triangular, as shown, or generally square, I-, A-, or L-shaped, (Fig. 1, not shown). The holding pieces and supports are welded to the bars.
