Abstract

1,105,223. Reinforced concrete paving. ROBERT McGREGOR & SONS Ltd. 1, Nov., 1966, No. 2648/66. Headings E1G and E2B. The longitudinal and transverse reinforcing bars of concrete paving are connected together by friction clips 7, Fig. 3, at some or all of the junctions, the longitudinal bars being supported on the transverse bars 6 which are themselves carried upon brackets or stands 4 Fig. 2, resting on the sub-base, the brackets or stands 4 each consisting of a strip bent to triangular form and having the ends located at the apex of the triangle and bent to form an open socket 5 for receiving the bar 6. The friction clips may comprise two C-section elements pivotally connected back-to-back by a rivet 8. The brackets and clips may be of spring steel or plastics.
