Abstract

1363136 Containers; packages EASTMAN KODAK CO 12 Aug 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 37910/71 Headings B8D and B8C A container comprises one or more collapsible bags 21 and 23 of rubber, vinyl resin or L.D. polyethylene containing photographic rinse and developer solutions sealed within a box 13 and 15 of aluminium, steel or H.D. polyethylene, and self-sealing puncturable members 25, 29 and 31 facilitating extraction of the solutions by puncturing the members 25 and 29 and return of the solutions into the box/bags interspace by puncturing the member 31. As shown, the sealing members are rubber patches adhered to the bags and/or the box wall. The sealing members and bags are puncturable by hyperdermic needles 39, 41 and 45 of extraction conduits 35 and 37 and return conduit 43 connected through pumps to processing trays 59 and 61. In modifications, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the patches are replaced by capped or plugged nipples 53, 54 or 53<SP>1</SP>, the caps or plugs 55, 56 or 55<SP>1</SP> being of self-sealing rubber or being lined therewith. Inward box protrusions 49 limit the insertion of the needle 45 to prevent bag penetration thereby and constitute a handhold.
