136,308. Crabtree, J., and Manchester Metal Stamping & Engineering Co. Dec. 30, 1918. Cop type. - Coptubes are provided with improved washers of the type having a forwardly. extending conicaseating for the cop The washer c, Fig. 9 is formed from a blank by cutting and pressing. The blank is first pressed into cup shape, trimmecl, and then pressed into cone shape c, Fig. 4, with a cylindrical flange d. The flange d is then curled inwardly and then flattened at the top to the form shown in Fig. 7. A hole is then formed at the bottom, thus providing a driving fit top and bottom for the con-tube. The top and bottom sides of the cylindrical part may be pressed together; or a separate metal washer may be placed between them.
