Abstract
1362644 N.P.N. animal feeds DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 5 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5630/73 Heading A2B A feed for ruminants includes N-acyl methionine having the general formula: R is a saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched, hydrocarbon radical having 7-21 carbon atoms. The compound may be fed either directly, or added to conventional feeds, in a proportion of 0.01-5% of methionine based on the dry weight of the feed. Specific examples are N-stearoyl, N-oleoyl, and N- decanoyl methionines. They may be used together with powdered oak husks, tapioca, urea, minerals and vitamins.
