Abstract

1361702 Measuring flow rate photo-electrically F L SMIDTH & CO A S 9 Oct 1972 [7 Oct 1971] 46488/72 Heading G1A The rate of flow of freely falling particulate material 5 is measured by irradiating the material with radioactive radiation and detecting the amount of back-scattered radiation with a detector 9 located such that radiation from the source does not impinge directly on the detector. A plurality of sources and detectors may be used. The particle flow need not be continuous.
