1361450 Automatic gas burner apparatus REMEHA FABRIEKEN NV 3 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 41152/71 Heading F4T An automatic gas burning apparatus comprises a plurality of burners 1 fed in parallel by a supply conduit 7 and pipe 4, there being located in the main conduit 7 a manually operated valve 6, a filter 10, a pressure control 17, a main valve 20 with on/off operation and a further valve 23 with high/low/off operation while two pressure sensitive switches 19 and 28 responsive to too low and too high gas pressure respectively are connected to the conduit 7 by branch tubes; a branch conduit 30 branching from the conduit 7 downstream of the valve 20 and leading via an ignition gas valve 13 and pressure control 12 to an ignition burner 15 ignited by a spark igniter 33; and a vacuum pump 25 located in a by-pass 24 and a vacuum responsive switch 22 located in a conduit 21 branching from the inlet of valve 23 for testing whether valves 13, 20 and 23 are sealed. Ionization electrodes 31 and 32 are located at the first and last burners. After the vacuum test for the valves 13, 20, 23 which may last one minute, valve 20 opens and after fifty seconds valve 13 also opens. The ignition burner 15 is ignited and if the electrode 31 is sufficiently energized valve 23 opens first to the low position and afterwards to its high position if necessary.
