Abstract
1361244 Thorium acid phosphate COMITATI NAZIONALE PER L'ENERGIA NUCLEARE 23 July 1971 [31 July 1970] 34746/71 Heading C1A. Fibrous thorium acid phosphate is prepared by reacting a Th(iv) salt solution with H 3 PO 4 of concentration #2M, the molar ratio PO 4 /Th in the solution being 10-30, and the temperature 60-105‹ C.; and leaving the resulting precipitate to digest in the slurry with stirring and at the same temperature as the reaction, until the fibrous material is obtained. The Th salt may be Th(NO 3 ) 4 in HNO 3 . An X-ray pattern of the product is given.
