Abstract
1361236 Electro-photography XEROX CORP 15 Oct 1971 [16 Oct 1970] 48066/71 Heading G2H A photo-conductive surface 20 is charged 21, exposed 22 and developed with a light absorptive liquid developer by means of a polar development web 24, the resulting liquid image being partially transferred (using a pressure of 0À5-8 lb/ linear inch) to a web 26, and the residual imagebearing surface is used as an electro-statographic master, i.e. is recharged, uniformly exposed 32 and redeveloped, the resulting liquid image being partially transferred to web 26. A plurality of partial transfers may be effected before redevelopment. After a plurality of redevelopments, the photo-conductive surface is cleaned 30 (in the case of a photo-conductive drum) or discarded (in the case of a photo-conductive sheet).
