Abstract

1361131 Change-speed control AUTOMOBILWERK EISENACH VEB 9 Aug 1972 37169/72 Heading F2D A vehicle transmission system is pressurized by primary and secondary pumps 1, 2 driven respectively by the engine and road wheels, and valve means are provided in the connections between the primary pump 1 and the pressurized system and between the secondary pump 2 and the reservoir 11, the arrangement being such that the first connection is closed when the pump 2 is operative, e.g. during push-starting, and the second connection is closed when the pump 1 is operative. Inn the embodiment shown, the valve means comprises a valve piston 6 acted upon by a spring 7. During push-starting, the connection between the lines 3, 5 is closed until the engine is running when operation of the pump 1 will displace the piston to close the connection between the pump 2 and the reservoir 11. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2, oneway valves 8, 9 replace the valve 6, 7.
