Abstract

1359132 Electrophonic musical instruments AUDIO SYNTHESISERS Ltd 26 July 1971 [26 Aug 1970] 41036/70 Heading G5J An electronic organ has a number of keys, e.g. f 1 to f 6 , for producing different musical notes, each key controlling the operation of a network comprising two master oscillators 11b, 11c, the frequency of each of which being modulated by a respective free-running vibrato oscillator 12, 13, and the outputs of the two master oscillators being combined in the output electrical signal from said network. In the preferred embodiment, a third master oscillator 11a is provided. Each master feeds a respective frequency divider 14a, 14b, 14c and each divider has six outputs each coupled via a waveform shaping device 15 to a respective common octave line 16 ... 21. In use, the oscillators operate continuously, and depression of a key for one of the six notes produced connects the appropriate line to the audio transducer of the organ.
