Abstract

1357911 Photographic processing apparatus C G MATHER 4 April 1972 [1 Jan 1971] 132/71 Heading G2X Photographic processing apparatus comprises a light-proof cabinet 1; an input spool mounting means 2 inside the cabinet or in light-proof connection therewith, and upon which means a spool 3 of exposed film can be mounted; a sequence of processing tanks 5 inside the cabinet, each tank having a dipstick immersion member 6 associated therewith, the member carrying at least one film guide means 7, the depth of immersion which is adjustable by raising or lowering the dip stick member 6; a sequence of fixed film guide members 11 outside the tanks; a drive motor driving a pulley 23; a take up spool 32 mounted on means 33 driven by a slip clutch, to compensate for increasing diameter of the takenup roll of film; and a film drying station between the last tank and the means 33. Means are provided for measuring the depth of immersion or the total immersed pathway of a film being processed. The tanks are agitated by a supply of air from a vibro air pump 27. This air is fed through tubes 28 which are each dipped into any selected tank 5. As shown, a light exposure compartment 19 is provided for reversal films. Thermostatically controlled heating devices may be provided for the processing tanks. The apparatus is substantially portable. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, (not shown) the film dips twice into each of two tanks.
