1356647 Anode for cathodic protection MORGAN BERKELEY & CO Ltd and J H MORGAN 28 Nov 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 58729/71 Heading C7E An anode comprises an elongate member of zinc or other sacrificial material which has a middle, long part, 2, and two end parts 3 and 4 which are each shorter than, but of greater cross - sectional dimensions than, the middle part, and an insert 5 of iron or steel which is enclosed by, and extends along the inside of, the member, the ends of the insert being near the centre of each end part. Brackets 6, 7, may be used to mount the anode to a wall of a tank to be protected, e.g. in a ship.
