Abstract

1356487 Rotary positive-displacement machines P UHL and H PFLUGER 22 Jan 1972 3123/72 Heading F1F A pump has a spherical chamber defined by a housing 1 and containing a rotor 10 made of an elastomeric plastics material and comprising a circular wall 2, 2' and semi-circular walls 3, 4 united therewith in register with mutuallyperpendicular diametral axes 5, 6. The walls 3, 4 in effect pivot relative to the wall 2, 2' when shafts 7, 8 to which they are fixed rotate. Peripheral sealing is effected by lips 11. The rotor may include two or four parts disposed back-toback and secured to each other, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown).
