Abstract

1356403 Continuous casting DAVY-ASHMORE Ltd 15 Sept 1972 [24 June 1971] 29650/71 Heading B3F To produce a metal workpiece, molten metal is cast continuously in a stationary horizontal mould and withdrawn with an intermittent motion, a portion of the casting outside the mould being formed into a loop of variable length and the casting downstream of the looped portion, without further cooling and possibly with reheating, e.g. by induction furnace, either rolled in a rolling mill or forged in a forging press.
