Abstract
1356387 Jet pumps TELEKTRON Ltd 30 June 1971 [30 June 1970] 31698/70 Heading F1E [Also in Division F2] In a pilot-operated valve (see Division F2), when pilot valve-member 26 is seated at 25 on exhaust tube 23, air supplied from inlet 3 via filter 21 and restricted tube 22 pressurizes pilot chamber 4 to shift a main valve spool. When valve-member 26 is unseated to exhaust chamber 4, continued flow through tube 22 exerts an ejector action to accelerate flow from chamber 4. In the modification of Fig. 6, filter 21 above is replaced by porous restrictor 21 and the ejector action is established by the jet emerging from tube 22 which in this case has a diameter equal to that of tube 23.
