Abstract

1355112 Coiling GLANZSTOFF AG 6 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 31655/71 Heading B3E A wire 36 is coiled on to a thin wire cable emerging from a hollow shaft 1 by rotating the hollow shaft 1 and a pot 2 so that the wire is fed from a spool 6 past a guide ring 7, a brake ring 8, an intermediate ring 9, a second brake ring 10 and a second guide ring 11. The brake rings 8 and 10 are made from a wear resistant plastic material. In another embodiment the brake rings 8<SP>1</SP> and 10<SP>1</SP> consist on annular brushes having natural or artificial bristles. Due to the conical part 18 of the pot 2, the tension of the wire 36 can be adjusted by inserting intermediate rings of suitable thickness between an upper flange 20 of the spool 6 and the guide ring 7.
