1354979 Seals BANDSTAHLKOMBINAT SITZ EISENHUTTENSTADT VEB 9 Sept 1971 [15 May 1971] 42116/71 Heading F2B Barrier medium is fed into a housing through an inlet 1 and divides so that a first part is interposed at 3 between the interior of the housing and, for example, a stirring tank and a second part is directed downwardly past a dividing member 5 to remove leakage from a shaft packing 12 and to direct it to, for example, an oil separator 9. When the barrier medium is a gas, the oil separator is replaced by a filter, Fig. 2 (not shown).
