1354465 Moulding compositions BP CHEMICALS Ltd 12 July 1971 [27 July 1970] 32681/71 Divided out of 1354464 Addition to 1354464 Heading C3P Thermosetting moulding compositions comprise (a) a high vinyl polybutadiene (i.e. above 25%, 1,2-bonded units), (b) a free radical initiator, e.g. 1,3-bis-(tertbutylperoxy isopropyl)- benzene or a mixture thereof with 1,1-di-tertbutylperoxy-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane, and (c) an isobutene polymer, preferably a homopolymer which may be liquid or solid. Exemplified compositions also contain calcium carbonate or silica as filler, chopped glass fibres (not Ex. 4), allylmethacrylate and acrylamide (both in Ex. 3 only), and butylated hydroxytoluene and vinyltris(betamethoxyethoxy)silane (both in Ex. 4 only).
