Abstract

1353360 Plastics containers; packages N HARILD 11 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 27546/71 Headings B8D and B8C In an injection-moulded one piece plastics container-body 2 reducing in cross-sectional area from an open bottom end to a top end, the top end is provided with a neck closure diaphragm 5 having weakening lines defining a tear-away annulus 7 to provide a top paving opening. The open-bottomed bodies are stacked one within the other immediately after having left the injection-moulding machine in a sterile condition and the sterile stack is conveyed to a filling station wherein each container body is filled through the open bottom and the closed by a bottom part 13, which is welded on. The bottom parts may be constructed so that they may be stacked one upon another. The container body may widen downwardly in a series of steps and may be of other than circular crosssection, e.g. square or triangular. The diaphragm 5 is provided with a pull ring 8 and may be upwardly or downwardly-bowed or obliquely disposed. A cap 11 is integrally pinned to the body by a strip 10 and is adapted to close on a neck rim bead 4.
