1352768 Composition MONSANTO CO 22 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970] 59648/71 Heading C4X A composition comprises (1) a dimer of an unsaturated carbonylic acid and having 32 to 44 carbon atoms and (ii) a reaction product of an alkyl substituted phenol and phosphorus pentonide. Additionally can be included to form a hydrogen embrittlement inhibitor for deicing compositions one or more of: (iii) a water soluble organic compound which on hydrolysis yields ammonia and is a carbonamide or carbonic acid derivative or (i) is a dimer of a dienoic or trienoic acid, e.g. di linoleic acid. (ii) is obtained by reacting 2-6 moles of C 4 -C 10 alkyl phenol e.g. di-t-amyl phenol with 1 mole of P 2 O 5 . (iii) is C 1 -C 4 alkyl carbamate, urea or C 1 -C 4 alkyl substituted urea or carbonamide.
