1352062 Development D JOHNSON 23 Dec 1971 [7 Jan 1971] 740/71 Addition to 1281696 Heading G2C [Also in Division C4] An exposed silver halide material is colourprocessed at a thermostatically controlled ambient temperature at or above the activation temperature of the developer solution, using processing solutions applied from an aerosol container, by the steps of (a) soaking in cold water, (b) applying a cold concentrated colour developer, allowing the material and developer to warm up to ambient temperature and observing development with safelight, (c) applying a concentrated hardening fixer solution, (d) washing, (e) applying a concentrated bleach fixer solution, and (f) washing. Steps (b) and (c) may be repeated In a modification, soaking in cold water may be followed by applying cold monochrome developer, washing, uniformly exposing, applying cold coloured developer, bleach and fixer, and washing Application of each processing solution may be by spraying or felt pad spreading.
